Do you know what danger piking a teeth to remove stuck popcorn can cause? Recently a firefighter, Adam Martin suffered from Endocarditis infection.
It is a deadly infection and it happened soon after dislodging a piece of popcorn that was stuck between his teeth. The other reason for the infection is that it happens when germs are accumulated in one part of your body.
It can be accumulated in your mouth and then move through your bloodstream that can damage your heart.
Adam remembered that he was constantly poking his teeth to get the stuck popcorn piece out. He made efforts for three continuous days but couldn’t get the piece out.
He even tried various ways to get the piece out but failed in all. He even tried metal nail, a piece of wire, and a pen lid.
Adam confessed that he started to suffer from severe toothache. Despite that, he did not consult a dentist. Within a week, he had severe headaches, sweating at night, and fatigue. Even his heart started to murmur.
Had he not consulted a doctor after that, he would have risked his life to death. It was also found that Adam was 340 on the infection scale. As a matter of fact, people die when they are 350 on an infection scale.
It is clearly visible that it is totally Adam’s mistake in the entire incident. Had it gone to the dentist on the very first day, he would not have suffered from any of it.
The long seven-hour surgery made him realize a lot of things. On top of it, he decided to never eat popcorn throughout his life. It was his luck that saved him and he survived. This experience will be remembered for his whole life.
Initially, Adam thought the infection is caused due to some flu and was ultimately mistaken.
It took him days to realize that he did not get any better. There were also some external indications of the infection like Janeway.
It was after the external indication that Adam went to Royal Cornwall Hospital. The symptoms were highly increasing and Adam had body aches, leg pain, and many more problems.
It was high time when Adam realized that his heart was malfunctioning. But fortunately, Adam was able to recover fast and is back home in a normal condition.
