Man Spent Nearly $30,000 Trying To Appeal A $100 Ticket


Getting justice in any country around the world needs time, patience and a lot of money to spend on the lawyer, traveling costs, pay cut for days off from work, and the fees one may have to pay to the court.

We all realize the fact and this is why most of us try to keep out of the courtroom in the best way possible. But this man who claims that he was falsely fined for speeding wanted justice and for the same, he spent £30,000 over a £100 speeding ticket.

Richard Keedwell says that for the past three years he has been running back and forth to the court to fight the case of a charging ticket he received back in 2016. The man says that the ticket is false and this is why he wanted to fight against the flawed law of the country.

He said that back in 2016 while traveling to Worcester on a road of 30mph, he was falsely accused of over speeding. He said that he received NIP a few days later stating that he was driving at 35mph on a 30mph street.

He said that it was impossible and there must have been a fault in the camera or the radar that stated it was his car that was over speeding when it would have been the car next to him.

The man says that he applied in the court of Worcester where his appeal failed then he appealed again in the crown court where it failed again.

For all those times he had to travel to the courts, the fees of his lawyer, the fees he paid to the court made a total of £30,000.

He says that he is very sad about spending so much money on the fine because now his family would have to suffer for this but all he wanted was justice.
