We would like to be dressed up as Batman only if we are taking part in a fancy dress competition or going to a superheroes-themed party. Otherwise, you can be embarrassed and will end up like this dude. A guy dressed up as Batman offered to help the police fight crime.
The incident was caught on camera in Kelowna, British Columbia when the man in disguise jumped out of his Batmobile (black truck complete with additional Batman logo) to go and help the police.
According to reports, the incident took place in Kelowna, British Columbia when a man, dressed in a Batsuit, jumped out of a replica Batmobile and approached the police at a crime scene. However, when he walked up to a group of officers and offered his services, he was turned away, reported Mail Online.
Pictures, which have now gone viral on social media, show the man walking back across the street with a dejected look. The police, reportedly, was responding to a domestic incident and didn’t need help.
The incident was documented by Melissa Parent who was driving home from a friend’s house.
“He was followed by five more police cars, so we pulled over at a safe distance to see what was going on. Before we knew it, the cops had their guns drawn and Batman came out of nowhere, parked in front of us in his black Dodge truck covered in the Batman logo and sprung into action,” Melissa was quoted by Mail Online.
A police spokesperson has also given a statement, firmly letting this would-be superhero know his actions could have had more serious consequences:
Situations like this are dynamic and subject to change very quickly: the presence of ‘Batman’ or anyone else is an unwanted distraction and foolish as they are placing themselves at risk.
Sadly, Batman’s famously astute deductive powers have failed him this time. Hopefully, Alfred will make him a nice cup of tea when he gets home to cheer him up.
