Man Donated A Crate Of Beer To Exhausted Firefighters During Bushfires In Australia


Thousands of firefighters worked for hours to fight intense bushfires across Australia for several months.

Sometimes, they even did 12-hour shifts without taking a break.

People came forward to help them fight bushfires and donated necessary things to local fire brigades.

However, one Aussie man decided to donate something different which has now gone viral on the Internet.

Declan Mcdonald decided to donate a case of beer in Yanchep, north of Perth. Mcdonald was captured handing over a crate of Emu Export and the picture was shared on Facebook by a user.

The picture was posted with the caption: ‘Most people donated water or Gatorade to the Yanchep fire, this legend donated Export.’

One user commented: ‘Time person of the year right there!’ while another added: ‘Legend. I’m sure they would’ve quenched every last drop!’

The third one wrote: ‘Late contender for bloke of the year award’.

When Mcdonald was asked about donating beer, he said he was at his parents’ place when he realized that the firefighters would enjoy a cold beer and decided to donate a crate of Emu Export.

He told Daily Mail Australia: “I had been cutting trees back at my parents’ place and knocked a couple back myself and thought the crew out there would enjoy a few cold ones.”

“Plus the work they’ve done is amazing. So many men and women working together from different organisations and companies to keep our families, friends, bushland, and wildlife safe.”

He praised the firefighters for their amazing work and said this is the least he could do.

He said: “Honestly a box of beer is the least I could do. Those men and women who come from near and far working tirelessly to fight these fire are the heroes.”
