Rocky Kanata has made it his mission to help canines. He takes shelter dogs on great adventures and also helps them get adopted.
A dog with special needs was taken to a pet store by Rocky, who bought every item that she touched.
Rocky also shared the heartbreaking story of the little dog named Freddie Mercury.
He said that Freddie was found in a pile of trash, was severely malnourished and had broken bones. She also had two sets of teeth, making it very hard for her to eat.
According to rescuers, they rushed Freddie to the vet where she underwent surgery. It was then the rescue group Marley’s Mutts that took her in.
Marley’s Mutts placed the pooch with a foster mother Angela, who quickly fell in love with her and decided to adopt her.
Rocky was so touched by Freddie’s story that he decided to take her and Angela on a shopping spree!
“When I see a dog like Freddie and how hard she fought to survive, I feel like she should be taken out for the best day ever,” Rocky expressed.
He said that the first thing the brave dog should choose was a doggy bed. He placed three choices on the floor and adorable Freddie went to a small bed that appeared like her.
Because Freddie already had a loving home, Rocky brought another shelter dog Bosco to shop with them.
Bosco and Freddie then worked together to choose what items to buy.
It was hard for Freddie to walk and Bosco did most of the work.
While he mostly selected things he and Freddie would both like, he also chose some items that were only for him, such as a huge toy that was two times Freddie’s size.
Bosco also chose lots of treats, water bowls, and many other toys.
After a tiring day, the two pooches were hungry so Rocky purchased puppuccinos for them. Freddie loved it!
Bosco and Freddie were then taken to a park where they enjoyed the fresh air and had a great time playing around.
