We all love coffee, but have you ever thought that coffee could be used to save lives? We heard about some health benefits from coffee, but we are not talking about drinking it here but rather by pouring it.
Kendall Diwisch, a Canadian oil worker from Drayton Valley, Alberta, Canada, was doing a good checkup run when he saw 3 abandoned kittens on one of the back roads.
Diwisch investigated and was welcomed by the sound of desperate meowing. He soon discovered that two of the three kittens had their tails frozen to the ground.
The man did not think too much and came into action immediately. He went back to the car to pick up the only hot thing he had—warm coffee. After getting back to the kittens, he started pouring coffee he had on the tails. To the man’s surprise, the kittens instinctively started drinking it, but not enough to have any negative effects.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough coffee, So, Diwisch decided to pull them softly. Despite the kittens meowing in discomfort, he easily set them free from their icy prison. kittens were safe and not harmed during the rescue.
Diwisch brought the 3 furry felines to his home, where they were warmed up and fed. Diwisch was planning to give them up for adoption.
Later he took to Facebook to share the whole story of the kittens. He suspected that the kittens were frozen for the whole night, so they were lucky he happened to pop by at the right place and at the right time before they froze to death.
Diwisch’s story soon went viral, and many news outlets covered the story. Social media websites also reposted it.
Soon, the kittens found a new home. According to Diwisch, he received tons of offers to adopt the kittens. A local animal shelter in Drayton Valley, later announced in a post that the kittens were taken in by a family also living in Drayton Valley.
All thanks to Diwisch.
