An elderly man was dragged out of a store and severely beaten by another customer after asking the man to social distance.
The brutal attack occurred in Winter Park, Florida, where a 70-year-old man got beaten while shopping at a local Citgo store.
According to FOX 35 News, who secured the surveillance footage of the brutal beating, the senior was attacked by another man after asking him to social distance.
As the police explained, the attacker, who was not wearing a face mask, became upset after the senior asked him to step away from him.
The angry customer then held the elderly man by his hair and dragged him out of the store before punching and kicking him repeatedly.
According to the Winter Park police, “the victim was on his stomach” when the suspect “repeatedly punched him on his back, then spat on him and kicked him in the head before walking away.”
Following the attack, the pensioner was rushed to the hospital. He had suffered severe injuries including broken bones.
After reviewing the security footage taken at the gas station store, the police have identified the attacker as Rovester Ingram and arrested him at his home.
Speaking of the incident, store employee Mohamed Tutul confirmed that both individuals involved in the incident are their regular customers.
“He mad. He tells me, ‘I come in here every day. Why are you telling me 6 feet,’” Mr. Tutul, who called the police, recalled Ingram saying.
