A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged with burgling a woman’s home and stealing some of her sex toys.
Michael Holden broke into the woman’s Pennsylvania home after she fell asleep on the couch.
According to The Smoking Gun, Holden entered her home and stole $700 cash, bank cards, and her used sex toys valued at $160.
A neighbor who saw the burglary gave the man’s description to police, saying the thief was ‘skinny, white and wearing glasses.’ This caused the 35-year-old woman to conclude that it was Holden.
The man is actually an acquaintance of the woman and he lives just one block away.
He was then confronted by the woman and her boyfriend when he admitted being inside her property and spotting some money on the floor.
Holden was charged with burglary, theft, and criminal trespass. He is set to appear in court for a preliminary hearing, according to Pennsylvania News Today.
It is not clear if the sex toys and other stolen items were retrieved by police.
This is not the first time burglars have targeted sex toys.
In Melbourne, two thieves were accused of breaking into a store to steal almost AU $15,000 worth of adult toys.
Detectives said that the thieves managed to take a $4,500 life-sized sex doll named Kitty and around $10,000 worth of vibrators.
Kitty stands at 168 centimeters but comes in a range of heights, waist sizes, bust sizes, and weight and hip sizes. She can also have her hair, eyes nail polish and skin tone customizable.
According to 9 News, sex store robberies are common as demand for sex dolls have significantly increased during the pandemic.
