Man Arrested After Coughing At A Senior And Claiming He Has Coronavirus


A man was arrested after coughing at a senior and claiming he has coronavirus at a store during shopping hours designated for seniors.

As the authorities in Pennsylvanian have confirmed, 57-year-old Daniel Tabussi was arrested and charged with making terrorist threats after allegedly coughing at a senior and insisting he has coronavirus on multiple occasions.

According to the Justice Department, people who intentionally infect others or attempt such an act can be charged with terrorist threats.

As KTXS reported, the victim had been shopping with a face mask and gloves when he was approached and mocked by Tabussi.

According to the police, the senior, who’s recovering from pneumonia, wore protective gear because he knew he was highly susceptible to contracting coronavirus.

Following Tabussi’s arrest, the 57-year-old was charged with terrorist threats, disorderly conduct, and simple assault.

In another unrelated incident, a young man was arrested and charged after coughing in police officers’ faces and insisting he has coronavirus as they approached him following a car crash on Sunday, March 22.

21-year-old Anthony Ponzi from Illinois coughed in cops’ faces when they walked up to his vehicle after he got into a car crash in Rogers Park.

As the police revealed, Ponzi collided with another vehicle while driving his car in the wrong way. He also exited his vehicle and assaulted the other driver.

As KTVU reported, the 21-year-old appeared aggressive when the cops walked up to his Jeep. He allegedly also coughed in their faces and insisted he had coronavirus.

After the man was apprehended and taken to a nearby hospital, he told the doctors that he was lying about suffering from COVID-19.

Following the incident, Ponzi has been charged with multiple misdemeanor charges and two felony counts of aggravated battery.
