It goes without saying, “Fill your life with adventures, not things. Have stories to tell not stuff to show.” And a few days ago, something happened with Jeremy Taylor, 36 from Oregon who really loves adventure after which he has one heck of a story to tell to others.
Jeremy often used to take his vehicle on off-roading adventures with his puppy Ally. On Feb 24, he also decided to go to deep forests and spend the night there. He decided to choose Sunriver, Oregon which is a very densely wooded area. But since Jeremy loves adventure, this was a perfect place for him.
He and his partner, Ally, drove all the way to the mid of the forest and meanwhile, they were driving, it started to snow.
At first, Jeremy didn’t care a lot since he has been to places like these before but unfortunately, the snow didn’t stop and the moment he realized the danger he started driving back home.Unluckily, his car got stuck in the snow.
And there was no way they could go back, so he decided to spend the night there in his car.
But things got worse when he woke up. That night, it snowed a lot that his car got covered by snow and he could hardly move his car. Moreover, he didn’t bring his cellphone, which meant that he couldn’t call anyone for help. And that day also passed as they spent the whole day in their SUV.
On Feb. 27, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office started asking people if they have any idea about his location. All of his friends and family members were panicking as no one had any idea where he went.
Luckily on March 1, five days after he and Ally left, a snowmobiler got to see his car and came to the rescue. Luckily, Jeremy and Ally, both were fine and were taken back to the hospital for checkups.
Later on, when he got united with his family members again, he wrote on Facebook, Thank you, everyone. I’m safe; my Ally dog is safe.” “I really appreciate all the help. Got lucky – let’s never do that again”. When he was asked how did he survive for 5 days, his response was, “Taco Bell fire sauce saves lives.”
