Dog owners are forced to face various challenges if they want to make sure their pup will stay in good hands.
From health complications to moving to a new place, people sometimes have to make tough decisions and let go of their pets in order to fulfill their personal dreams.
Letting go was exactly what the girlfriend of the man in this story asked for. As the owner of a Beagle named Molly explained, he had been with his girlfriend for four years before the two decided to move in together.
Before moving in together, however, the guy’s girlfriend gave him an ultimatum that crushed his heart. She told him he would have to get rid of Molly in order for them to live together.
Refusing to let go of his beloved pooch, the man wrote a funny adoption plea with an interesting twist on Craigslist.
In the adoption plea titled ‘FREE TO ANY WILLING HOME,’ the man wrote:
“MY girlfriend does not like my beagle Molly. SO I have to rehome her. She is a purebred from a wealthy area and I have had her 4 years. She likes to play games. Not totally trained. Has long hair so she’s a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done.
“Stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Only eats the best, most expensive food. Will NEVER greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when you’re down. Does not bite but she can be mean as hell!
“So… anyone interested in my 30-year-old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Come and get her! Me and my dog want her re-homed ASAP!”
As it turned out, the dog owner wrote the adoption plea not to give away Molly but to get rid of his “selfish, wicked” girlfriend who came up with unreasonable ultimatum.
