Sometimes you just don’t want to do yard work and it’s just a pain.

We all enjoy getting outside to mow the lawn, but sometimes you just want to sit outside with a beer and watch the day go by instead.

Ordinary yard work can often be a bit overwhelming when all you want to do is relax, but having to deal with the seasonal work can be a real struggle. Weed pulling and raking leaves are those kinds of jobs that just cut right into our relaxation time and we just push them off until the last minute.

In April of 2015, Mimi noticed a tree was getting old and looked like it would fall on their home during a windy night. Mimi and her husband cut down the tree in the yard, but left the stump for another day. Mimi, annoyed that the ugly stump was ruining her beautiful front yard decided that she couldn’t wait any longer for her husband to remove it. She got creative and turned that ugly stump into a part of her beautiful yard.

One day, the idea just came to her. She was going to turn the strump into something lovely, a “Gnome Tree Stump House” with all of the decorations. She set out for her dollar store and a hardware store to get all the parts to turn this ugly tree stump into a beautiful decoration.
