For many couples who have just been dating, a cancer diagnosis could put a big hold on the relationship.
No doubt, it is hard to guess who long a person will need treatment and what would be the future of the relationship.
Well, it no surprise to see couples continuing their relationship after facing hard times together.
The same is the story of Jillian Hanson and Max Allegretti.
Jillian Hanson, from New Jersey, was diagnosed with breast cancer back in July 2017.
Everything was up in the air for her including her relationship with Max Allegretti, after a cancer diagnosis.
But, life seems to give a fair share of lemons to everyone, and Jillian got her handful when she got proposed by her boyfriend Max on her last day of Chemo.
Jillian and Max were dating from the last 3 years before she was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer.
The couple stayed together throughout the difficult journey throughout chemotherapy, including Jillian losing her hair, and on the last day of her treatment, she got a big surprise when Max proposed to her at the hospital.
Jillian had no idea that her last day of chemo would be full of happy surprises.
Max talked with Jill’s friends and family and they planned everything out for the proposal with Memorial Sloan Kettering, the hospital where she was receiving her chemotherapy.
The proposal scenes were heart-melting when Max asked for her hand in marriage on February 28, 2018, in front of her family and friends.
She felt so special after getting such a warm proposal from her boyfriend, who stood with her during her bad times.
Jillian expressed “I was so surprised that Max decided to propose on a day that was already so special.
It was such an exciting bonus that we were now celebrating two amazing milestones.”
Well, the surprise was not over yet, as wedding planner Lauren Grench offered her services for free and even got the vendors to donate their services as well.
Jillian and Max tied the knot on October 18 and their love story is getting viral on the internet.
