Simon Dorante-Day, who was born in Gosport, near Portsmouth in April 1966 and now lives in Queensland, told that he was adopted by a British couple Karen and David Day when he was just 18-months-old.

He now wants to prove that the royals are his parents and planning to launch a High Court legal case.

He filed papers to the High Court before Christmas and told that Queensland court staff laughed at him.

He told New Idea: “It’s definitely the most significant step I’ve taken so far – I’ve had to force a deadline, hold them to a date, because we need answers.”

Later, the papers were sent down to a High Court judge in Sydney.
