Here is a very heartwarming love and loss story which is going viral on the internet.
Dr. Margaret McCollum who is a general practitioner met Oswald Laurence in 1992 during a tour in Morocco.
The man left his acting career and started working for a Tour and Cruise Company and the two soon fell in love and got married. The couple started living together in north London until the death of Oswald in 2007.
Dr. Margaret said that it was very heartbreaking and sad to lose him as he had an amazing zest in life.
The woman was able to deal with her husband’s death because of hearing her husband’s voice in the tube every time.
His voice was used to tell the passengers to mind the gap ahead and it was soothing for her to listen to it.
She further said that since the day he passed away I keep waiting for another train till the time I get to hear his voice again.
Recently, because of a new system, they couldn’t get his voice on it but it didn’t end there.
A recent twitter post revisited the heartwarming story and reminded us about the faith in humanity that needs to be restored sometimes.
The story is told by Historian John Bull and it perfectly captures the feeling of loss and love together.
The couple’s story was told in such an effective manner describing how the woman used to wait for every day to hear her husband speak ‘Mind the gap’.
The London Underground director was touched by the woman’s story so the staff recorded it. It is amazing how love is the most powerful feeling in this world.
