Back in 2002, Michael scooped a £9.7m National Lottery jackpot after buying a ticket for £1. Before winning this gigantic prize, he used to work as a binman.

He would have never thought to become Millionaire overnight, but he was fortunate enough to enjoy this luxury.

After having this much cash in hand, Michael left his job immediately and started living a lavish lifestyle.

He upgraded his living standard and started spending money as he wanted. But currently, he is working as a coalman, without having any regrets or negative thoughts about what he did with that money.

Michael says that he is happier now as he has his life back.

He spends the jackpot on drink, sex, drugs, and luxury cars. During those days, he also involved in such activities that made him appear in the court for more than 30 times, that is why he was nicknamed “King of the Chavs”.

Moreover, he used to live in 3 expensive mansions. It was not like that he utilized all the money himself, he gave away £4m of his winnings, £1m each to his ex-wife Sandra and her mum, to his mom and aunt.

By 2012, his mansions had fallen into disrepair and been sold. He then moved to Scotland to start a new journey.

Now he works as 7 days a week as a coalman and often walks to work.

He answers the questions of people, asking him about what he feels after losing all that money, this way “I did not lose it, I spent it!”
