A three-year-old girl who is the world’s only person to have a rare disease, Benjamin Button, has gone viral after adorable videos of the girl rule TikTok.
Isla Kilpatrick-Screaton from Leicester possesses a mandibulofacial dysplasia strand, which causes quick aging of cells and makes her appear older than her age.
This medical condition starts before the birth and is called Benjamin Button disease as it causes fast aging of the cells and is a reference to a character in a 2008 film and a 1992 short story, who is born as an old man but ages backward.
Isla became a TikTok sensation after her family uploaded a heartwarming video of the girl where she is making a heart for her mother Stacey.
The video gained over two million views. Her other videos, which show her dancing in the garden have been seen thousands of times as well, as Isla isolates with her family because of her extremely rare condition.
In the adorable videos, she can be seen dancing to Slim Burna’s Oh Na Na Na in the kitchen along with Kyle and To Run The Jewels’ Pew Pew Pew with her mother in the garden.
Due to her ultra-rare condition, Isla is in a high-risk category for coronavirus and needs to be isolated for a minimum of twelve weeks.
Kyle, Isla’s thirty-six-year-old dad, and her thirty-three-year-old mother started making her videos to keep Isla as well as her sister Paige occupied and entertained during the coronavirus lockdown.
Kyle said that his daughter Paige began using TikTok like all young adults and then, their mother Stacey made a family page where they started making videos to keep themselves entertained and do something positive during isolation.
They revealed that they did it only for fun but were stunned when Isla’s video gained 1.5 million views just in 24 hours.
