Two children who dressed up as Barack and Michelle Obama earned recognition from the former first lady.
Zayden Lowe and his friend Ryleigh Madison Hampton recreated the couple’s looks and posed for pictures.
Their adorable photos have quickly gone viral, even earning a shout out from the former first lady Michelle Obama.
Ryleigh’s grandmother came up with the sweet idea after watching Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20.
“She literally gasped after seeing it and thought it would be a great idea for a photo shoot,” Ryleigh’s mother, Zoe Hampton, said to Daily Mail.
Zoe dressed her daughter in red pants, a purple shirt, a matching coat, and finished the outfit with a bold gold belt.
Little Barack Obama, Zayden, sported a dapper blue coat and an American flag pin.
The photos were shared on Ryleigh’s Instagram page where it gained more than 11,000 likes.
The Oprah magazine also saw the sweet pictures and shared the post on its own account, writing: “Little @barackobama and @michelleobama is exactly what we needed today.”
Joseph Zambrano, the magazine’s assistant editor, commented: “Little Michelle is in CHARACTER.”
Another person wrote: “OMG!!! Fierce!!! Best thing on the internet today!”
The former first lady herself also noticed it and shared the adorable photos on her on social media pages.
“Ryleigh & Zayden, you nailed it!” Mrs. Obama wrote, gaining another 2 million likes for the children.
Ryleigh’s mom said they never thought the photos would earn such kind of response.
“’It has been OVERWHELMING. We are responding to as many as we possibly can. Obviously no one is ready for this type of attention,” she expressed.
