Many women go up for lip implantation simply because they need their lips to look fuller and thicker than they already are and for the same, there is no natural way available.
Although implantation is something that not many medical experts suggest beauty comes first for women and there are thousands and thousands of women who get it done.
Christina Burton, 29 years old mother of two wanted to get her lips fuller too so she went for an implant but she had no idea it would turn up like this.
She got a £75 home treatment kit and called a nurse to help her with the implant but within a few hours the mother ended up in the hospital.
She got her implant done and the nurse that was helping her applied numbing cream on to her lips. At first, she had no idea what was going on then she realized that something was wrong for sure.
She had terrible pain in her lips and upper lip area and her throat had started to block. The same then went up to her nose and started blocking her nose as well. It had become hard for her to be able to breathe. It almost became impossible to breathe and that is when she decided to call the ambulance.
She said “My lips were swollen like they were sausages. They got so huge and heavy that I could not even open my lips. I had to call 999 because the pain was unbearable.
They rushed and came and gave me a cannula to aid my breathing and adrenaline. My condition was horrible.”
After a 45 minutes treatment at home, she was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital where she was given anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, and steroids. She was admitted to the hospital for an overnight check.
She said “The nurse at the hospital were horrified to look at my lips because they had never seen such a swollen face before. I am glad I did not go to sleep and called the ambulance because if I had gone to sleep, there was a great chance that I might have not woken up.”
