A ‘fully immersive’ life-sized version of Monopoly, a popular board game, is set to become available to the public this year.
Featuring all the key elements that the board game offers, the life-size version of the game is bound to attract people from around the world and make their dreams come true.
The first-of-its-kind attraction will allow players to stroll through themed rooms and interact with smart technology and holograms that will represent Water Works, Electric Company, Bank, Train Station, Title Deeds, and Chance Cards.
Unfortunately for the unlucky ones, there will also be a jail cell where players will be forced to spend their time if they stray off the right path.
In addition to the classic board game, there will be a murder sub-plot featuring a mysterious villain who the players will be asked to deal with.
Sadly, however, one will have to travel to Hong Kong to experience the game. Additionally, all of the locations will be based on the Hong Kong version of the game.
Speaking of the “wonderfully memorable” theme park, Hasbro’s General Manager of Entertainment & Licensing, Casey Collins, said:
“Our exciting partnership with Monopoly Dreams allows Hasbro to further extend the reach of Monopoly to location based entertainment sector and provide families and tourists with wonderfully memorable and highly immersive entertainment experiences by stepping into the first, fully immersive Monopoly-themed entertainment attraction.”
Monopoly Dreams’ Chief Operations Officer, Gary Chan, added:
“Having invested – a significant amount of resources to design and create Monopoly Dreams, we highly treasure the establishment of this project. We target to accommodate over 700,000 visitors.
“Not only are we dedicated to bringing immersive interactive experience for all generations of local Hong Kong, we are also endeavoured to offer a new destination for tourists.”
