A son is a father’s strength, we know it and we have seen it often.
But this son we are talking about has proved to be an inspiration for all the sons in the world.
This story is of a citizen of Uganda called Jordan Kinyera. Jordon did not grow up in the best conditions as his family was under legal pressure while the boy was growing up.
The neighbor of his family had sued them for their land back in 1996 and as a result, the land was taken away from his father. The case did not stop there and the legal work kept going on for a while.
Jordon was about 6 years old at that time and could see the situation his family was in.
Rather than giving up and accepting the faith that was extremely bitter, the young boy decided to fight it back and enrolled himself for 18 years long legal program to be a lawyer so that he can fight for the land his father had lost.
He said “Those were the most difficult years for my father. He was old and retired and was not earning at that time. We were under legal as well as financial pressure. I could see it all and I was not in favor to keep resisting it. I wanted to fight back.”
“We were able to get our land back but it took a lot of time and as I believe it, delayed justice is denied justice.”
“By the time we got our land back, my father had already turned 82, which meant he could do nothing much with the land. It was only left for us kids now but my father was happy that we finally got it back.”
Jordon pursued the profession and is now fighting cases for people who are stuck in similar situations. We say that he never wants to have the same faith as his family and so he wants to help more and more people.
