It’s such a heartwarming sight to see the fifth graders learn sign language for their deaf classmate.

Students at a Peoria, Illinois school skip their recess every Wednesday to learn sign language for their deaf classmate, Rhemy Elsey so that they can communicate in a better way with him.

They also have an American Sign Language club where they practice the skills with Rhemy and an instructor.

Rhemy who has difficulty in hearing has cochlear implants and relies on sign language to communicate with others. He is delighted to see the efforts that his classmates are putting for him so that they can communicate with him.
