A 50-year-old lawyer jailed for yelling racist taunts and spitting at an Indian cabin crew because she was denied a fourth bottle of wine has been found dead at the foot of Beachy Head only days after getting out of prison.
A video of the incident showed the lawyer demanding to speak to the pilot after a cabin crew denied her another bottle of wine. She declared “I’m a f****** international lawyer!”
Simone Burns was sentenced to 6 months for the racist rant against the cabin crew last year. She called the Air India staff ‘Indian money-grabbing c***s’, spat in a cabin supervisor’s face, and smoked a cigarette in the toilets.
Prosecuting at her trial, Lauren Smith said: “She got up from her seat and began swearing and shouting. She was shouting that she was a ‘f****** international lawyer’ and telling them to ‘f*** off’.
“She also shouted: ‘You f****** a****, you f****** Indian money-grabbing c****.”
Burns was found lifeless at the foot of Beachy Head in East Sussex days after leaving prison.
According to a friend, her world ‘fell apart’ after her conviction and time in jail. She also became a target for trolls who would remind her of the incident during the flight.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said, “The body of a woman found at Beachy Head on June 1 has been identified as Simone Burns from Hove.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and next of kin have been informed. The matter has been passed to the coroner’s officer.”
On Burn’s Facebook page, she appeared paranoid. The lawyer told friends: “Mossad agents and Zionists operatives all over my life… there is yet again a fishy smell of CHABAD LUBAVITCH!”
She even backed Gilad Atzmon, whose controversial views on Jewish history and Holocaust denial have led to allegations of racism and anti-Semitism.
