Young Boy Told His Mom That He Would Wait For Her In Heaven


Only a mom knows how difficult it is to say goodbye to her child forever.

And while we say that we can understand that pain, we truly never can, until we are unfortunate enough to go through it.

Ruth Scully of Leonardtown, Maryland shared a heartbreaking story of her son passing away due to Cancer.

And the four-year-old Nolan had to go through this phase.point 48 | Ruth wanted to share this story of her brave son who was crippled with every passing stage, just as a beautiful flower does and eventually dies.point 167 | 1

She shared a photo in which Nolan was sleeping on the Bathroom shower mat because he didn’t want to leave her side even while she was taking a shower. Ruth says that now she is terrified of bathing, of not having her son waiting for her.

In the post, she describes her pain with the heartbreaking words, “agony unlike any other.”

All this started in September 2015 when Nolan complained that he was having difficulty while breathing.point 280 |

Naturally, his parents thought that it might be just a little cold.point 56 | Slowly, it was becoming even more difficult for him to breath.point 108 | They tried many treatments for this supposed cold, but nothing seemed to help.point 174 | Then in November, doctors found out that it wasn’t just a little cold, but a tumor in the nasal passage.point 261 | 1

He bravely fought for 15 months, when Nolan went to the hospital for the last time; he had not eaten anything in many days as he was constantly vomiting. It was the first day of February and Nolan’s doctor’s entire team was there. The Oncologist told them then that the tumors were compressing his heart and bronchial tubes and still it was spreading. The cancer was no more treatable.

Ruth then told Nolan that he does not have to struggle any longer. She said that the only way he can be safe now is if he is in heaven. To this, Nolan innocently replied that he would wait for her in heaven.

He passed away on February 4.
