Following her intense Sunday night’s performance at the Academy Awards, Lady Gaga proudly held the Oscar for the best song, Shallow, which she executed together with her A Star Is Born co-star Bradley Cooper.
While Gaga appeared at the Academy Awards reception alone, Cooper arrived together with his mum and his partner, Russian model Irina Shayk, with whom he has a 1-year-old daughter.
Despite Irina and Bradley marking their love with a child, fans are convinced that Cooper and Gaga have feelings for each other after seeing their intense, emotion-filled performance.
The wildest of theories even went as far as suggesting that Lady Gaga is planning on stealing Mr. Cooper from Irina.
Following days after her touching performance, however, Lady Gaga appeared on Jimmy Kimmel show and destroyed all rumors and speculations by saying that the entire ‘chemistry’ between her and Bradley was plotted.
“That is what we wanted you to see,” the 32-year-old said, speaking of their chemistry which was only days ago marked as “undeniable” by a source close to the pop star.
“This is a long song. It is a love story and we worked so hard. I knew he had the vision for how it should go.”
To further crush the rumors, Gaga highlighted her previous work and said she’d been close to Tony Bennett for years to make their song work.
“I’ve had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for the last three years. It’s what you do when you sing love songs,” she claimed.
According to other sources close to the pair and the film’s setting, Cooper aimed to make him and Gaga appear romantically involved both on and off the screen.
“Hollywood is buzzing that Gaga fell for Bradley during pre-production and filming, creating the intense emotional energy you see on-screen and at the Oscar. He wanted an authentic love story on-screen,” one source explained to Page Six.
As other sources explained, the co-actors were “very, very close” at Friday’s CAA party “even though her ex-fiancé was there in the same room but keeping his distance…”
“Gaga and Bradley were cozied up on a sofa… They were inseparable, and people definitely thought it was weird,” they added, explaining that Irina was on the sofa with Bradley’s mother while he was busy chatting with Gaga.
