A mother is revealing her heartbreak after she was slammed as ‘evil and selfish’ for requesting her husband to choose her over their baby.
While the mom chose to remain anonymous with her identity, she went all out regarding her personal family affair.
Speaking to viewers on Reddit, the mother claimed she had just recovered from gestational diabetes and was really scared about childbirth, fearing the worst.
As you know, being a mother for the first time is not an easy task and the fear of childbirth can be daunting for plenty. Hence, when this mother revealed how doctors were skeptical regarding her normal delivery and gave her the nod for a C-section, she certainly did not take that news too well.
“There were a million things that were going through my mind at that time. I feared for the worst because I did not want to go under the knife to have my baby delivered. I thought of all sorts of complications and hearing other people’s stories really frightened me,” she began to explain.
Therefore, that’s one of the main reasons why she told her husband that in case things don’t go according to plan in terms of complications, she wanted his reassurance on the matter. For this reason, she requested him to save her, instead of her baby.
Clearly, the decision shocked her husband because he never expected himself in such a position. But after remaining silent for a few seconds, he nodded.
Thankfully, the C-section went well and both the baby and mother are doing absolutely fine now. However, after hearing her story, the young mother’s friends felt that was the most selfish thing any mother could ever say or think. And now, other people’s opinions are really weighing her down.
