On Friday afternoon, the 18-year-old Kenosha shooter was cleared of all charges including first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, and attempted first-degree intentional homicide.

After escaping a potential life sentence, the teenager, who is said to have been suffering from PTSD since last year’s shooting, was seen in high spirits as he was taken away from the Kenosha courthouse by his legal team.

“He is on his way home, he wants to get on with his life. He has to get on with his life the best he can,” Rittenhouse’s attorney Mark Richards said outside the court.

“Kyle is in counseling for PTSD. He doesn’t sleep at night.”

Richards went on to suggest that his client will likely move away for good to start afresh and escape death threats.

“Eventually some anonymity will come back to him but I don’t think he will continue to live in this area. I think it’s too dangerous,” Richards added as he explained Rittenhouse had to be accompanied by security ever since the deadly Kenosha shooting.

Before starting a new chapter in his life, however, Rittenhouse is set to sit down with Carlson Tucker of Fox News for his first TV interview.

Tucker previously voiced support for the teenager as he suggested that no honest person could doubt that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense on the day of the shooting.

“The average jury reaches a verdict in just a few hours, so these jurors are taking much longer than most, but it’s probably not because the evidence they have heard is confusing them,” the TV host said earlier this week.

“The question is why is it taking so long for this jury to produce a very obvious verdict. Want the answer? Well, look outside the courtroom. There are hundreds of National Guard troops assembled tonight in Kenosha. Why are they there? Well, they have come in case Kyle Rittenhouse is acquitted.”

He added: “If he is acquitted, pretty much everyone expects the usual mobs of Joe Biden voters to burn and loot and destroy. Why does everyone expect this? Because people on the left are openly calling for it.”
