“Kyle Rittenhouse Should NEVER Have Been Charged In The First Place”- Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie BLASTS Prosecutors


Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has blasted the prosecutors from the Kyle Rittenhouse case, adding how the 18-year-old should never have been charged in the first place.

The former governor appeared for a live interview on Sunday and that’s where he spoke about how the prosecutors should not have brought up any charges against Rittenhouse in the first place. “They were only acting upon the whims of the public,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the former governor who has also served as a prosecutor in the past spoke about how it was clear that all the evidence did not warrant any charges against the teen when it came down to fatally shooting down two men and then injuring another during riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

“Those charges should never have been brought forward,” he boldly claimed. “And do you know what, prosecutors aren’t supposed to give in to the words of the public,” he explained during the Fox News program.

The former governor shed light upon how prosecutors need to take their time and make decisions carefully. “You are supposed to look at facts dispassionately and then the evidence. And that’s when you decide whether or not they support the charges.”

In addition to that, Christie spoke about how it was very evident from the footage released of the fatal evening in Kenosha that all of the shootings that occurred were acts of self-defense and nothing more.

“And I am so glad that the jury sat there and was not affected by the pressure coming in from the public. They sat there and took their time to quietly listen to all of the evidence that made the decision what it is,” he claimed.

If convicted of his crimes, 18-year-old Rittenhouse would have to face a mandatory sentence which comprised of life in prison, if he was convicted of charges relating to intentional homicide.
