The Douglas family came together to celebrate the birth anniversary of the living legend Kirk Douglas.
The veteran actor who had an amazingly inspiring life just turned 103 and he is alive to celebrate even more years to come.
The celebration becomes even grander as Michael Douglas again received a nomination for a Golden Globe for his show The Kominsky Method and it came in on the same day as the celebration begins for his father’s 103 birth anniversary.
But despite Michael received a nomination for one of the most prestigious awards of the industry, his father was the one who was on his mind as he shared a picture of the duo on Instagram.
He wrote on his Instagram along with the picture of him and Kirk writing, “Happy birthday dad, it is your birthday and your entire family is wishing you a grand one. We are so proud of your living legend. Happy 103.”
Catherine Zeta Jones, Micheal’s wife joined in the celebration too as she shared a picture with her father in law on her Instagram too.
Kirk had shared in an interview with PEOPLE magazine in 2015 that her entire family calls him Pappy and he loves it.
Cameron, Michael’s son from his ex-wife Diandra Luker shared a picture of him and his Pappy and said that he is honored to be his grandson and he can never love him enough. He says he is so proud and that his pappy is a living legend.
Son of Michael and Catherine, Grandson Dylan shared a picture from his younger days with his Pappy and wrote: “time changes and I agree with it truly.”
The entire family of Kirk came together to make his 103rd birthday the most special one and we can understand why.
