Kim Kardashian posted photos and videos of her birthday celebration on one of the most breathtaking private islands in Tahiti.
In an emotional clip, Kim and her loved ones were seen crying over Kanye West’s gift.
The reality TV star spent $1 million as she flew her friends and family on a private jet for her 40th birthday celebration on a luxurious private island resort, Page Six reported.
In the clip’s emotional scene, Kim, mom Kris, and sisters Kourtney and Khloe settled in to see Kanye’s big surprise.
A hologram of Kim’s father, Robert Kardashian Sr., appeared, telling her that he was ‘very proud’ of her.
According to reports, Robert Kardashian died in 2003 after suffering from cancer.
Kim broke down in tears and told her husband on the phone: “Seriously, thank you.”
Kim charted an 88-seat Boeing 777 to fly the group to The Brando. “The group was limited to Kim’s closest family and friends. Everyone on the trip was repeatedly tested for COVID before they left in the middle of the night on a private Boeing 777,” a source told Page Six.
“Once on the island they had lavish dinner after dinner, spa treatments and hikes through the nature sanctuary. There was no expense spared. Everyone was banned from posting on social media by Kim to ensure her privacy.”
Another video showed family and friends swimming in a pool, then Kim and Kendall Jenner approached the sea for a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience swimming with majestic whales.
Kim faced backlash on social media for traveling amid the coronavirus pandemic but the reality TV star has continued to share throwback photos from the luxurious trip.
“40 and feeling so humbled and blessed,” she wrote on Instagram. “There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter.”
She added: “For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today.”
