Kim Kardashian hosted Saturday Night Live and joked about the leaked tape that made her famous and said she divorced rapper Kanye West because of his personality.
“I know, I’m surprised to see me here, too,” the reality TV star, who sported a bright pink bodysuit, started her hilarious monologue.
“I mean, I haven’t had a movie premiere in a really long time.”
Kim shared how her father, the late attorney Robert Kardashian, introduced her to the first black person she had ever met.
“Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was?” she asked with a laugh.
It was her father’s close pal OJ Simpson. Mr. Kardashian represented the accused murderer as part of his ‘dream team’ of lawyers in the 1990s.
Simpson was acquitted of two counts of murder in the fatal stabbings of his ex-wife Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman. After being found liable by the jury, he was ordered to pay $33.5 million.
Kim said that having known Simpson “does leave a mark,” adding: “Or several. Or non at all. I still don’t know.”
The TV personality also talked about her divorce.
“I married the best rapper of all time,” she said. “The richest black man in America, a talented legit genius who gave me four incredible kids. When I divorce him you have to know it came down to one thing: his personality.”
Kim also acknowledged how she rose to fame when she was featured in a s*x tape that circulated in the mid-2000s.
“I haven’t had a movie premiere in a really long time,” she joked with a wink. “No one even told me it was premiering. It must’ve slipped by mom’s mind.”
She also joked that one of the reasons she was hosting SNL was so she could be taken seriously as a person instead of a s*x symbol.
Kim also said that hosting duties would show her to be “so much more than just a pretty face. And good hair, and great makeup, and great boobs and a perfect butt.”
