A mother, from Australia, spent $2,000 and threw a ‘Kidchella’ birthday party for her daughter’s seventh birthday.
Amy Ward, who loves the music festival Coachella, decided to make her daughter, Taleah’s, seventh birthday party very special for her.

The 32-year-old threw a ‘Kidchella’ birthday party and spent $2,000 on decorations, food, accessories, a bell tent, a Ferris wheel, and an ice cream van.
She told Femail: “I added my own touch and elements to appeal to the kids and make it enjoyable for the little ones as well as the grownups.”
Amy’s husband made a giant Ferris wheel from oversized pipe cleaners that she decorated with ribbons. Guests also enjoyed flower crown making and face painting.
Her seven-year-old daughter Taleah wore a crocheted outfit with tassel details that Amy bought from Kelly Dugdell.
Amy shared the pictures of the ‘Kidchella’ birthday party on her Instagram and said that she is happy that everything turned out so well.
Amy told that she turned to Pinterest for ideas to create her own version of Coachella for Taleah and her friends.
Amy and her husband bought a Bell Tent from eBay and got a big pallet from a local Bunnings for free that they placed in front of the tent for music festival vibes.
She purchased jute rugs, vases, plates, table runners, pillows, and trestle tables from Kmart.
Amy said: “We are very fortunate insofar as we have a beautiful outdoor area at home that is perfect for entertaining. I was able to start setting up the party a few days in advance, so I wasn’t stressed on the day and was instead able to enjoy it.”
Amy said she spent most of the money on the bell tent so she advised parents to pick a theme at least six months before the party.
She said: “My biggest tip for parents is to pick a theme with your child early on and get started. This allows you to buy things slowly over a period of six months or more – so you can keep an eye out for things on sale and keep in mind what you’re going to need.”
