Indeed, the bond between two brothers is one of the strongest bonds and they love each other more than anything else.
Elder brothers are not like just best friends but also protectors of their siblings. But have you thought that a 10 years old boy will save the life of his newborn brother by delivering him and also saving his mother’s life? At first, that seems really impossible but miracles do happen.
This is a story of an 11 years old brave hero Jayden Fontenot, who helped in delivering a baby for mom Ashly Moreau, who was only 34 weeks along in her pregnancy.
Both son and mom were in their home in Sulphur, Louisiana while Moreau’s fiance was at work.
Moreau suddenly started feeling pain and rushed towards washroom where her water broke.point 159 | While giving an interview to a news channel, she said, “My water broke.point 222 |
I looked down and my son’s feet were hanging out.point 42 | ” Unfortunately, there was no one else in her home so she sent Jayden to call her grandmother living a few blocks away.point 141 | But when Jayden reached her grandma home, he realized that her grandma couldn’t walk because of a surgery she had a few days ago.point 253 |
But grandma called 911 the very next moment.point 37 | 1
When Jayden came back home, he saw that her mother was breathing heavily and his brother’s 2 legs were already out. The situation got even more intense when Moreau realized that the baby isn’t even breathing.
Moreau told, “When he [Jayden] got to the bathroom, he just took a deep breath and said, ‘OK, Mom, just tell me what I need to do.’ He didn’t look scared, he looked calm and brave and I said ‘OK, I’m going to tell you what to do and we need to get your brother out as fast as possible because he’s breeched and he can’t breathe.’
Jayden remained very calm and started following instructions given by her mom. He was able to take the baby out but he wasn’t breathing. Jayden rushed to the room brought his sister’s nasal aspirator.
He was able to clean his brother’s nose and eventually the baby started breathing. Soon, the ambulance arrived and they took them to the hospital where both the mom and the baby were properly taken care of.
According to the doctors, if Jayden wouldn’t have helped his mom, the baby brother might not have lived. Due to his bravery, Jayden also received the award from the city’s government.
