A thief was trying to steal Audi, but the owner saw him breaking into his car through a surveillance app on his phone. Mike Smith, 36, is a Business analyst went to a nightclub in Dalston where he received a notification on his phone that someone outside his house if trying to steal his car.
When Mike opened the information, he saw someone with a laptop outside which he found weird. Through the footage, he could see a man who was staring at his laptop before separating the tablet screen and scroll.
Then Mike interrupted the man with his alarm system asking him if he can help? Suddenly the man started to back off with a confusing look on his face.
Mike claims that he thinks that the man was trying to steal his Audi S3. A lot of cars have keyless entry, and if the code is not kept in a secured place, then it’s easy to break through the vehicle.
Thankfully, his car needed keys, and that’s why the thief failed in his attempt to break through the vehicle.
Mike said that he stalled the motion CCTV outside his house just a few days back and if the CCTV wouldn’t have been there then probably he would have missed the intruder.
The camera allows the owners to talk to people who are outside their house with the help of the app that they have on their phones.
The criminals around are becoming aware of the technologies, and that’s why the keyless cars are becoming a target for them as they think they can trick the car into thinking that that owner has opened it.
Thankfully, Mike was able to handle the situation because of the security app on his phone.
