One of America’s leading cereal companies, Kellogg’s, has partnered up with an LGBT advocacy, just in time for Pride Month 2021.
According to media reports, Kelloggs has launched a new cereal that goes by the name of ‘Together With Pride’ which the company plans on donating every single one of its purchases to GLAAD- a leading LGBT group.
With this new and special box of cereal that comes with unique packaging too, the box will encourage buyers, especially kids to select their own pronouns.
For those who may not be aware, Kelloggs is also the parent company for a number of leading cereal brands that include Apple Jacks, Raisin Bran, Fruit Loops, Special K, Frosted Flakes, and Rice Krispies too. Just last week, the company unveiled its new campaign which is in partnership with LGBT advocacy, just last week.
The uprising campaign has managed to attract so many consumers with its catchy tagline that mentions, ‘Boxes are for cereal, not people.” Moreover, the campaign will reportedly last from the 1st of May to the 30th of November.
In the same way, critics called the campaign out for resting upon a unique premise that mentions, “No matter who you are, who you love or what pronouns you end up using, you’re just too awesome to fit inside a box.”
Just recently, the Michigan-based company went about mentioning through its Instagram page how every single one of its cereal boxes sold would reportedly donate $3 to GLAAD. This group represents the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and is popular for reflecting the values and acceptance of LGBT in the media and community.
As far as the box’s packaging is concerned, viewers can expect the front to include the Kellogg’s logo that comes emblazoned in a series of rainbow hues, alongside the GLAAD logo too.
Also, there are plenty of cartoon characters that are closely associated with the compnay’s brands, surrounding a giant bowl of rainbow-toned cereal too. The actual product is also quite interesting where consumers can expect to find rainbow-shaped hearts that come dusted with edible glitter in berry flavors.
