One of the most popular actors, Keanu Reeves, who also frequently appears in numerous movies all the way back to his day when he played Neo in The Matrix, has secretly funded a whole bunch of different children’s hospitals.
We all know he’s one of the richest and most famous actors but what we did not know was that he’s Hollywood’s nicest man and has a heart of Gold.
The lovable star has used his popularity for almost 20 years to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. He runs a private charitable foundation that aims to help children suffering.
Keanu said in a Ladies Home Journal article from 2009, “I have a private foundation that’s been running for five or six years, and it helps aid a couple of children’s hospitals and cancer research,”
He further adds that I do not like to attach my name to it, I just let the foundation do what it does”.
Keanu has a strong personal reason to want to support people with cancer, his sister Kim was diagnosed with leukemia in the 1990s, but it’s incredible he didn’t tell anyone about it.
The 53-year-old Keanu Reeves is so generous as he helped the special effects crew of Matrix movie with$100 million but we little know he’s doing more than that.
Reeve is a private person and never shared her sufferings publically he is a strong person as he was being raised up by a single mother and he had to finish high school with so many efforts and after these hardships, he decided to start acting and pursued it as a career.
He has suffered many other tragedies, such as the woman who was his long-term partner gave birth to a stillborn baby, eight months into the pregnancy, and just a few weeks later passed away in a car crash.
But in fact, he never added his name to the charity, which went on to finance cancer research and support hospitals in abundance.
Reeves never searched for public attention, unlike other actors he wants to continue his good deeds privately.
To him, the health and needs of the public are more necessary and he has made a difference by saying ” We all know that good health is much more important”.
