Keanu Reeves is undoubtedly the most-loved Hollywood actor and the reason is quite evident.
The actor has done probably all sorts of kind deeds. From donating millions of dollars over the years to buying full film crews motorbikes, from helping scores of charities to taking pay cuts just so other people can get roles in his movies – the list is endless.
Keanu never attaches his name to whatever good he does, and always tries to play down his involvement. And when it comes to dealing with fans, there could be no guy politer than him.
Despite being such a nice fella, the Matrix star has admitted that he feels lonely.
The 54-year-old was promoting his latest film, John Wick 3: Parabellum, when he was asked “what love means” by an interviewer from The Jakarta Post.
Keanu replied: “You mean romantic love?
“You know, I’m the lonely guy. I don’t have anyone in my life. But if it does occur, I would respect and love the other person; hopefully it’ll happen for me.”
When asked how he feels about his loneliness, the actor replied: “I don’t concern myself with it that much.
“I’m an actor, so in terms of what you’re asking about, I have no answer. There’re definitely paparazzi chasing after you, but I don’t go out much, I don’t really do anything. I’m pretty boring.”
Keanu might just seem a quiet guy, the truth is, he’s gone through many difficult times. Brought up in quiet hard circumstances, he lost his ex-girlfriend in a horrifying car crash.
His best friend, actor River Phoenix, died of a drug overdose at the age of 23 – and it left a lasting impact on him.
“I enjoyed his company. Very much. And enjoyed his mind and his spirit and his soul,” Keanu once said to Rolling Stone about Phoenix.
“We brought good out in each other. He was a real original thinker. He was not the status quo. In anything.”
