Kamala Harris has been named the world’s third most powerful woman by Forbes.
As Forbes revealed, the vice president-elect has made her way to the top of their ‘World’s 100 Most Powerful Women’ list by coming in third.
For the tenth year in a row, Angela Merkel took over the first place on the list. Following the German Chancellor is French politician Christine Lagarde who heads the European Central Bank.
Harris, who is the first woman to become a vice president-elect of the U.S., took over the third place which was last year held by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who dropped to 7th place this year.
The top ten women to appear on Forbes’ list of ‘World’s 100 Most Powerful Women’ are:

The vice president-elect made her debut on the Forbes list and joined the ranks of the world’s most powerful female CEOs, entertainers, and heads of state.
“The women on the 17th annual power list hail from 30 countries and were born across four generations. There are 10 heads of state, 38 CEOs and five entertainers among them,” Forbes said of the prestigious list.
“But where they differ in age, nationality and job description, they are united in the ways they have been using their platforms to address the unique challenges of 2020.”
