Kamala Harris reveals that she has plans to travel to Guatemala and Mexico to deal with the increasing rates of migrants coming into the country, yet she avoids the border completely and hands over the responsibility to DHS Alejandro Mayorkas.
According to reporters, Harris has no plans to visit the migrant camps, holding a Zoom meeting for her first intervention — although 21 days had passed after she became the border ‘czar,’
Republicans are claiming that Harris is 100% responsible for what has happened at the border and she should take accountability for the thousands of migrant children who have suffered.
Whip Scalise, GOP House, tells Dailymail that “President Biden and Vice President Harris are directly responsible for this humanitarian, health, and national security crisis they’ve created at the border and horrific conditions these children face in the detention facilities their administration runs and won’t even bother to go see them,”
The Biden administration was slammed for creating a crisis and alleviating some of the Trump-era policies towards immigration. He comments, “He [Biden] needs to go see himself the damage that he’s doing and stop this madness,”
Scalise brought a milk carton prop of Vice President Harris with the caption: Missing at the border” and a picture of her attached to it.
Harris will continue to hear from national security experts on immigration alongside the Northern Triangle, but border officials are adding into the conversation.
Luckily, recent news releases information that the White House has secured a compromise with Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras to send their troops and secure borders to stop migrants entering the country illegally.
They say they are working on it, but the Guatemalan government denies that any of it is true. They say that there is no proof of any ‘signed document,’ and although they did send 1,500 troops to the border back in January, there is no new deal to bring in more troops.
