“That was easy. Thank you. I barely felt it. I barely felt it,” Harris insisted after Nurse Patricia Cummings carried out the inoculation.

Speaking to the reporters, Vice President-elect explained how she wanted to remind people they could get the jab in their own communities.

“I’m in Anacostia today because, first of all, we have phenomenal healthcare providers like nurse Patricia, who serve our community and we have hospitals and medical centers and clinics like this all over the country who are staffed by people who understand the community, who often come from the community, and who administer all year trusted healthcare,” she said.point 557 | 1

“And so I want to remind people that right in your community is where you can take the vaccine, where you will receive the vaccine.”

As the Vice President-elect insisted, getting a jab was “relatively painless” and can help in saving lives. She also revealed her husband would be vaccinated on the same day.

The inoculation took place months after Harris insisted she wouldn’t be taking the vaccine if “Donald Trump tells us to take it.”

“I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump, and it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he’s talking about,” Harris said back in September.

At the time she also expressed her fears saying experts on the matter could be “muzzled, suppressed, and sidelined” because of Trump.

“He’s [Trump] looking at an election coming up in less than 60 days, and he’s grasping for whatever he can get to pretend that he’s been a leader on this issue when he’s not,” she said.
