Justin Bieber has backed out of his proposal to fight Tom Cruise in the octagon with the singer admitting that he would probably get his ass whooped in a fight with the action movie star.

Feeling all brave just a few days ago, Bieber decided it would be fun to challenge Cruise to a UFC fight.

“I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon,” the 25-year-old tweeted on June 10.

“Tom if you don’t take this fight your scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite?”

While it is not clear whether Tom Cruise failed to see Bieber’s challenge or simply didn’t care about it enough to respond, Conor McGregor couldn’t resist the temptation to intervene.

“If Tom Cruise is man enough to accept this challenge, McGregor Sports and Entertainment will host the bout,” the MMA fighter wrote as he shared Bieber’s tweet.

“Does Cruise have the sprouts to fight, like he does in the movies? Stay tuned to find out!”

Only days after his original post, however, Bieber has backed out of the challenge and claimed he was “just playing.”

“Man… I was just playing, it was just a random tweet I’m pretty sure Tom would probably whoop my ass in a fight,” the singer said according to TMZ.

“I’d have to get super in shape, I’m really skinny right now. I think he’d probably be out of my weight class. He’s got that dad strength.”

While it’s not clear whether Bieber was really looking for a fight or just messing around when he wrote the first post, one thing is sure – Bieber VS. Cruise won’t be happening any time soon.
