Justin Bieber has criticized Eminem of being an old generation pop star who ‘doesn’t understand’ the new generation of rap.

The 25-year-old singer took a swipe at the 46-year-old icon on his Insta story as the Sorry star posted a screenshot of himself listening to Eminem’s The Ringer from his new album Kamikaze.

Eminem’s latest album features several diss tracks directed at artists including Lil Xan, Lil Pump, Lil Yachty, Joe Budden, and, of course, Machine Gun Kelly.

Claiming that the Stan star is an old generation musician, Justin came out in defense of the artists, writing: ‘I just like Em’s flow but don’t like that he’s dissing new rappers.

This post may likely ignite a blaze between the two hit singers, but they have always remained friendly before.

The Love Yourself singer famously covered Eminem’s 2002 hit Lose Yourself, during a London concert which took place in 2015.

More recently in 2017, Justin shared a throwback photo of him meeting the iconic rapper at the start of his career back in 2009.

Eminem, however, has famously gotten into a war of words with a couple of artists, including when he slammed 28-year-old Machine Gun Kelly in Killshot.

The Wild Boy star tweeted to made fun of the hit, claiming that the Monster rapper responded to his track Rap Devil ‘2 weeks and 3 interviews later.’

The two artists have been in bad blood ever since Kelly made some unsuitable comments about Eminem’s 22-year-old daughter Hailie six years ago.

‘OK so I just saw a picture of Eminem’s daughter… and I have to say, she is hot as f***, in the most respectful way possible cuz Em is king,’ Kelly – whose real name is Richard Colson Baker – tweeted in 2012.

Eminem raps in the track: ‘You ain’t never made a list next to no Biggy, no Jay, next to Taylor Swift and that Iggy h*, you about to really blow.

‘Kelly, they’ll be putting your name next to Ja, next to Benzino – die, motherf***er!’
