Thanksgiving videos may be plenty but we bet this next feature on TikTok might startle you, just like it startled so many viewers across the board.
One TikTok user started an online battle after putting up a video of a turkey watching another one bake in front of him, directly in the oven.
With many referring to the act as animal cruelty, it was the vegan community who really raised their voice on the matter.
“How can you just let him watch his friend get baked,” questioned one very upset viewer.
Clearly, the video managed to split so many people in the audience online as the live turkey continued to roast for a Thanksgiving feast.
“That’s just wrong to allow one to see their fellow counterpart get cooked live in the oven,” said another.
Shockingly, the person who put up the video did not expect to get more than 40.3 million views in no time, not to mention the countless shares, and comments on the post.
As of Friday afternoon, the video had already hit 5.3 million views and that’s just appalling, to say the least.
Despite the video being just 11 seconds long, it had all the elements to capture so many people’s attention and that includes those who may not have been fans of turkeys in the past but after seeing this, felt bad about the behavior portrayed and then shared so casually online.
The morbid Thanksgiving display shows a male tom turkey who is called Big Red. He starts to strut across the oven’s open door that features a goldne-skinned and perfectly baked friend that’s all ready to be served as a feast.
And that’s when the short clip concludes with the narrator mentioning how her fine-featured pal is okay and people can relax as they ‘don’t know him.’
