According to local media reports, the teen opted to show up at the private club, after the jury termed him ‘not-gulity’ for all his charges in the high-profile homicide trial that took place last week.

The meeting between the two parties was recently disclosed by Donald Trump himself who spoke during the one-hour-long interview, aired by Fox News’s Sean Hannity, during the later hours of Tuesday.

“I got to know Kyle a little bit,” the former commander in chief revealed. He called me and asked me if he could meet me,” Trump repeated. “All he wanted to do was say a hello because he claimed to be one of my fans, unlike the other guy,” Trump added.

Last Friday, a jury cleared the 18-year-old teen from all of his charges which included homicide, attempted homicide, and also charges related to reckless endangerment, right after he fatally shot and killed two men, while injuring a third. The incident took place in Kenosha, Wisconsin in August last year.

At that time, Rittenhouse was 17, and he shot down the trio during a series of riots that broke out over the police shooting incident of Jacob Blake. But the teen repeatedly claimed that whatever he did during that night was to protect himself as he strongly felt that his life was in danger.

“It had nothing to do with race, it was all related to self-defense,” he and his lawyers argued throughout the case that left many Americans anxiously awaiting the trial’s verdict.

Trump also spoke about how strongly he felt that the teen should never have been put through a trial in the first place. “That was just prosecutorial misconduct,” he added.
