While it’s been over a year since Disney has announced that Mr. Depp would no longer be working with them on ‘Pirates’ movies, a recent turn of events in the actor’s private life has made the company’s executives lobby to have him back on the cast.

Disney has first started distancing themselves from Depp after his ex-wife, Amber Heard, claimed that the actor had physically abused her.

Later on, however, Depp denied these allegations and countered Heard by claiming she was the one abusing him – a statement partially confirmed by a recording in which the actress was heard admitting to hitting the 56-year-old.

Following recent ‘revelations’ and the turn of events in the pair’s court case, Disney executives have allegedly been working to ensure that Captain Jack Sparrow actor returns once more.

Mr. Depp first appeared as the ‘greatest’ Captain of all time in Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl in 2001.

Since then, Depp has made a comeback in all of the sequels and is believed to return as Captain Jack Sparrow and play a “more of a supporting role” in the sixth installment.

While no plot details about the sixth movie have been released as of this writing, reports suggest that a female character will likely lead the upcoming Pirates’ installment.
