He went to the same specialist in his home state where he was found to have thin fractures in his foot.

His physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, said it was a “regularly scheduled 10 week post-injury weight-bearing X-ray” visit.

“The President will receive a regularly scheduled 10-week post-injury weight-bearing X-ray at the Delaware Orthopedic Specialists, where he was evaluated initially,” O’Connor said in a statement.

“The President’s symptoms have improved as expected, and he is adhering to a strict physical therapy regimen.

“As we explained initially, sprains of the foot can sometimes be a more significant injury than the bony fractures which accompany them. This x-ray is to check to assure that he has achieved good ligamentous stability.”

It was in late November when Biden injured his foot while playing with his dog, Major. He was expected to wear a surgical boot for some time but he was soon seen walking and jogging in normal footwear.

O’Connor said in a statement at that time: “Initial x-rays did not show any obvious fracture, but his clinical exam warranted more detailed imaging.

“Follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot. It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks.”
