Joe Biden Says ‘There’s Nothing To Worry About’ As He Receives Vaccine In Front Of Cameras


President-Elect Joe Biden said “there’s nothing to worry about” as he received his first Covid-19 vaccine dose in front of the cameras.

The incoming president received the jab on live TV on Monday after paying a visit to ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, Delaware.

“I’m ready. You just go ahead any time you’re ready,” Biden told Nurse Practitioner and Head of Employee Health Services, Tabe Mase, as she was getting ready to administer the vaccine.

Following the successful vaccination, Biden didn’t appear to have any reaction to the shot. He also received a vaccine card and will have to get another jab within three weeks.

During the live vaccination, Biden reassured Americans that “there is nothing to worry about” because the vaccine is safe.

“I’m looking forward to the second shot, so is Jill. She’s had her shot earlier today. She loves shots, I know,” Biden said.

Dr. Jill Biden received her first Covid-19 jab just moments before her husband and stood by the president-elect’s side as he was vaccinated.

After getting his shot, Biden credited Trump’s administration for vaccine distribution as he said “one of the things is I think the administration deserves some credit getting this off the ground with Operation Warp Speed.”

“I also think that it’s worth saying that this is great hope. I’m doing this to demonstrate that people should be prepared when it’s available to take the vaccine,” he added.

“The important thing is that it’s worth stating that, you know, this is just the beginning. It’s going to take time.”

Biden also urged Americans to listen to medical experts and Dr. Fauci and abide by coronavirus measures during the festive season.

“In the meantime, I know I don’t want to sound like a sour note here, but I hope people listen to all the experts and Dr Fauci talking about the need to wear masks during this Christmas and new year’s holidays,” the president-elect added.

“Wear masks, socially distance, and if you don’t have to travel, don’t travel. Don’t travel. It’s really important.”
