On Tuesday morning, Trump suggested that he is “making big progress” before vowing to win the presidency once more.

“We are making big progress. Results start to come in next week. Make America great again,” Trump wrote before adding: “We will win!”

Speaking out about Trump’s refusal to acknowledge his defeat, Biden later on Tuesday called the act “an embarrassment” and suggested it could tarnish the president’s legacy.

“I just think it’s an embarrassment, quite frankly… I think it will not help the president’s legacy,” the president-elect said.

Despite facing resistance, Biden said Trump’s refusal to concede defeat is “not of much consequence” as he vowed to keep “moving along in a consistent manner, putting together our administration within the White House and reviewing who we’re going to pick for the Cabinet positions.”

“And nothing’s going to stop that,” Biden added. “The fact that they’re not willing to acknowledge that we won at this point is not of much consequence in our planning and what we’re able to do between now and Jan. 20.”

While the president-elect admitted getting Presidential Daily Briefings could prove “useful,” he acknowledged he wouldn’t be able to act based on the information he received while Trump remains in office.

Following his speech, one of the reporters present asked Biden how he expects “to work with Republicans if they won’t even acknowledge” him as president-elect. Responding, Biden said: “They will. They will.”
