First Lady Jill Biden has won many praises for her ‘elegant’ and ‘classy’ inauguration display as she stood by her husband President Joe Biden’s side.
Jill, 69, stayed next to her husband as he was sworn in as the United States’ 46th President on Wednesday, holding up the Bible while promising to “preserve, protect and defend” the Constitution.
The doctor’s position as the President’s closest confidante and right-hand woman could not have been more evident when she stayed by his side throughout the event.
After a mass at St. Matthew the Apostle Cathedral, the couple went to Capitol Hill for the inauguration, where the couple who have been married for more than four decades held each other’s hands as they walked on the stage.
As soon as the first lady arrived for the swearing-in ceremony, people flocked to social media to praise Jill.
“The First Lady Jill Biden is STUNNING! I love her outfit!” one person wrote. “Classy, Exuberent, and All together American. I love it!”
Another shared: “Dr. Jill Biden, bringing back strong, classy , intelligent, beautiful women in the white house.”
A third said: “Dr Jill Biden is stunning, gorgeous, elegant and classy. So proud to have her as our First Lady.”
People were also moved by Jill’s passionate hug of the President, whom she embraced and kissed proudly before looking at their family members for a warm embrace.
“Dr. Jill Biden served us all a plate of Jackie O realness this morning!!! the monochromatic looks today we’re fab,” someone wrote on social media.
“Jill Biden is so classy, a real Jackie O,” another agreed.
Jill was 24 when she met Joe, who was 33 at that time and was serving as a senator in Delaware.
They tied the knot in 1997 at the United Nations chapel and their daughter Ashley was born in 1981.
