The Oscar-winning actress is pregnant and officially set to welcome her first child with her husband Cooke Maroney.
Jennifer Shrader Lawrence, 31, is an American and Oscar-winning actress. She was the world’s highest-paid actress in 2015 and 2016, with her films grossing over $6 billion worldwide to date.
In 2018, she began a relationship with Cooke Maroney, 37, an art gallery director, and after 8 months of dating, they became engaged in February 2019 and then celebrated with a party three months later in New York City.
Maroney is the director of Gladstone 64, a Manhattan art gallery. As of May 2019, Jennifer resides in Lower Manhattan, New York City, and Beverly Hills, California.
The couple got married in October 2019 at Belcourt of Newport, Rhode Island with 150 guests including Amy Schumer, Emma Stone, Adele, Cameron Diaz, and Kris Jenner among other star-studded guestlists.
Despite the Oscar-winning actress’ high profile, the couple has managed to keep their relationship as private as possible and have never attended a red carpet event together.
The pair have kept their relationship out of the public eye but their engagement was confirmed to CNN in February 2019, after Lawrence was spotted “rocking a “massive ring” on her finger.”
The actress and her husband of two years, Cooke Maroney, are expecting their first child, ABC News has confirmed. Jennifer has previously gushed about her love with Cooke in interviews.
“He’s just the best person I’ve ever met in my whole life,” the actress previously told Entertainment Tonight . “It was a very, very easy decision (to marry him).”
While appearing on Catt Sadler’s podcast, NAKED, in June 2019, Jennifer said: “I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, “I’m ready to get married”.
“I met Cooke, and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully. And, you know, he’s my best friend. I feel very honored to become a Maroney.”
“I want to legally bind him to me forever,” she continued. “And fortunately, the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You find your favorite person on the planet and, you’re like, “You can’t leave!” So I wanted to take that offer.”
Jennifer was previously in relationships with British actor Nicholas Hoult from 2010 to 2014, musician and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin from June 2014 to August 2015, and director Darren Aronofsky from August 2016 to October 2017
Dating rumors first started to circle when the actress was photographed with Cooke in 2017. Jennifer also appeared in Time’s 100 most influential people in the world list in 2013 and in the Forbes Celebrity 100 list from 2013 to 2016.
The actress was named by Forbes as the world’s highest-paid actress in 2015 and 2016, with estimated annual earnings of $52 million and $46 million before taxes respectively.
She won an Oscar for her performance in the 2012 movie “Silver Linings Playbook” which she starred in alongside Bradley Cooper. But the actress is best known for playing the character Katniss Everdeen in the hugely successful “Hunger Games” movie franchise.
The actress is finally set to return to the big screen for the first time since X-Men: Dark Phoenix in 2019, starring in Netflix’s upcoming dark comedy Don’t Look Up, which will be released on December 24.
